Challenge.gov, the official hub for prize challenges and competitions across the U.S. federal government, allows federal agencies to use prize competitions to incentivize public problem-solvers to identify innovative solutions for difficult issues.
Researchers and developers can use this resource to stay up to date on active prize competitions and the latest innovations being used to solve various problems federal agencies are facing.
Recently, the hub hosted a competition on behalf of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) seeking automated scoring models to score constructed response items for NAEP’s Reading assessment. Participants were eligible to win up to $15,000 in prizes.
