The EdSurvey development team will have a strong presence at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) annual meetings this year. Multiple presentations have already been accepted from NAEP researchers on the team, including Dr. Ting Zhang, Dr. Paul Bailey, Howard Huo, and National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) EdSurvey sponsor Dr. Emmanuel Sikali. NAEP Doctoral Student Internship alumni from our 2022 cohort will be paving the way for the future of NAEP at these conferences as well, with many presenting their research from the internship program.

NAEP Doctoral Student Internship
The next cohort of the NAEP Doctoral Student Internship will begin the program in June 2023, giving current doctoral students the opportunity to engage in methodological developments and secondary analysis using NAEP data. During the 10-week paid, remote internship, the interns will collaborate on client-based projects, work directly with NCES researchers, and gain technical skills and knowledge in the field of large-scale assessment. NAEP Data Training Workshop
The Winter 2023 NAEP Data Training Workshop is set to take place in Arlington, Virginia, very soon: on January 12–14. The training will introduce the unique design features of NAEP and provide guidance and hands-on practice with the EdSurvey R program and the data analysis strategies required when using NAEP data.
