The NAEP R&D team has been busy as we start the new year, and we know you have been too. After sustained interest in the application process, we’ve extended the deadline to apply for the 2023 NAEP Doctoral Internship Program for an additional week, through Friday, January 27. The program is a 10-week paid remote internship that provides interns with the opportunity to dive into data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) while working directly with researchers from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR).
Doctoral students in educational measurement, statistics, information science, sociology, psychology, economics, computer science, and other related fields are invited to apply. The selected interns will use NAEP data to help develop statistical methods and knowledge about education that can inform policy at the national, state, and local levels. The interns will work in topic areas such as psychometrics and statistical methods, process data, policy-relevant research, and re-envisioning quantitative information (data visualization).
