Upcoming NCME Webinar: The Lifecycle of an Internship

Upcoming NCME Webinar: The Lifecycle of an Internship

The National Council for Measurement in Education’s (NCME) Graduate Student Issues Committee (GSIC) and Educators of Measurement (EoM) Special Interest Group in Measurement in Education (SIGIMIE) are hosting The Lifecycle of an Internship, a webinar designed to give more insight on the education measurement internship process, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on November 13, 2024.

The webinar will cover all aspects of internships in the education measurement field, from the application process to interviewing and internship expectations. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from representatives of internship-hosting organizations, including NAEP (under a contract with the American Institutes for Research), Pearson, the Center for Measurement Justice, and Curriculum Associates. Internship experts and organizers from these organizations will share valuable advice and answer your questions to help you succeed in your own potential internship.

Don’t miss this chance to learn more about the internship process and see a presentation from NAEP R&D Project Director Landa Spingler and current NAEP Internship Program Director Xiaying “James” Zheng! Registration for the webinar is open now here. You can also learn more about the GSIC and join on their website; membership provides opportunities to work closely with NCME faculty and a diverse pool of graduate students. To learn more about NAEP’s own internship offering, check out the NAEP Doctoral Student Internship Program and register for our mailing list to stay informed on internship news and all things NAEP research.
