NAEP RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

This holiday season, we’re thankful for all the great team members, researchers, interns, and students that make up the NAEP research community. Your work with data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress helps us gain a greater understanding of K-12 student academic achievement, providing vital tools to inform educational policy and practice. Let’s take a look back at some of the community members we’ve highlighted this year.

The 2022 NAEP Doctoral Student Internship has completed its sixth year, and with it, five new researchers have been introduced into the next generation of the NAEP research community.

As the 2022 cohort of NAEP doctoral interns begin their internships, we take a look at some of the research being conducted and presented by the 2021 cohort.  

It has been almost three years since Melanie Gonzalez completed the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Doctoral Students Internship Program. As we get closer to welcoming our next cohort of doctoral-level interns for the summer, NAEP R&D has decided to catch up with one of the program’s alumni to see what she’s been up to and how her life has changed during and after the internship.
