The first NAEP High School Transcript Study (HSTS) Data Training Workshop hosted by the NAEP R&D program will take place on June 21–23, 2023, in Arlington, VA. If you’re interested in learning more about the HSTS special study and conducting analyses using HSTS data, check out the workshop and consider applying before the deadline on May 14!

In mid-January, the NAEP R&D Program hosted the Winter 2023 NAEP Data Training Workshop in person for the first time since February 2020. In this post, we take a look back at the highlights of these three jam-packed days of training with large-scale student-level NAEP data.

The NAEP R&D team has been busy as we start the new year, and we know you have been too. After sustained interest in the application process, we’ve extended the deadline to apply for the 2023 NAEP Doctoral Internship Program for an additional week, through Friday, January 27. The program is a 10-week paid remote internship that provides interns with the opportunity to dive into data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) while working directly with researchers from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR).

2022 was a busy year for the NAEP R&D program, and we are staying busy in 2023! In this post, we preview some of the workshops, conferences, and research presentations coming up this year.
